Technical guidelines

Below are some technical guidelines for your tour.

Technical guidelines

Device requirements: The state-of-the-art technology used for this tour works best on a computer and doesn't support cellphones.  A reliable high-speed Internet connection and an updated browser is recommended for the best experience. Check your device's compatibility here.

Browser: It's best to use the Chrome browser for this session. If using a different browser, make sure it's up-to-date. You can check your browser at whatsmybrowser.org.

Internet Connection: Make sure you have a reliable, high-speed Internet connection to avoid interruptions. Close all unnecessary programs and tabs in your browser during the session. You can check your Internet speed at speedtest.net. A normal Internet connection should be around 50Mbps download speed.

Screen size: The tour platform requires a screen size of at least 1024px. If using a computer or tablet, the tour may be cast or connected to a smart TV, but if the original device is a cellphone, it will not work. The optimal mode for experiencing your session is in full-screen mode. If the screen is not full-screen, you may receive a message saying your screen is too small. If you receive that message, enlarge your screen to full-size. Vertical screens are not supported.

Tour-specific notes

Live tours: You will receive a confirmation email immediately after purchasing your ticket. The link will be sent in a separate email a few minutes before your tour. If you do not see either of these emails in your inbox, please check your spam folder. The virtual live tours of Auschwitz are followed by a live Q&A session on Zoom. You do not need to have Zoom installed on your device beforehand, but if you do, make sure it's updated before the tour begins.

OnDemand tours: You will receive the link to access your tour immediately after your purchase. If you do not see it in your inbox, please check your spam folder. Your tour link to access the tour expires 72 hours after the tour is first opened. It can be viewed multiple times during that 72 hours.
